Cambridge call for Alison
Alison Monteith was invited by her former tutor to give a presentation to Ruskin College’s first and second year interior design and graphic undergraduates. As Monteith Scott’s Managing Director, Alison provided insight and passion into the commercial world of designing interiors. Speaking of the current economic challenges, she shared with the students her view that delivering creative certainty for companies was more important than ever.

Delicious design at Barford
Award-winning gastro pub, The Granville at Barford has opened its doors with a new interior designed by Monteith Scott. When Val Kersey bought The Granville, one of her major priorities was to stylishly update the décor of the Warwickshire hostelry. Monteith Scott worked closely with Val on elements including colour finishes and lighting to create a space that was friendly, comfortable and flexible for a range of uses. Since its makeover the Georgian inn has enjoyed rising profits and a loyal customer base.

BCO recognises design excellence
The highly respected British Council of Offices has recognised Monteith Scott’s work for Reed Smith with the award of Finalist status within its 2008 ‘Projects up to 2,000m2’ category. In relocating to Blythe Valley Business Park, the expanding international law firm commissioned Monteith Scott to plan and design sustainable, highly attractive and extremely functional space for its visitors and 80 staff.
